The Art Class: Wintermix x10 weeks

It was almost mutiny; I just had to get the Tuesday Art Team down to the sea (Argyll,  West Coast of Scotland, very wild and rural) before Christmas to paint the snow topped lime grass, blackcurrant hills and powder lilac sea…it was freezing, we managed an hour, but oh what colours you couldn’t ever imagine indoors; no thinking, only looking, be zesty!

Another 10 sessions of my Wintermix Art for Advanced Beginners, mostly inside, starting to explore the dreaded ‘perspectives’, trying to learn it without worrying about it really. Difficult to amend drawings I think are already beautifully seen if technically not correct.  It’s a filthy dark winter so we might as well stay inside with the curtains drawn…tough drawing sessions; it’s simply practice, lots and lots of it…
